Metering Specialist Technician to be based in Port Harcourt
A Major Operator requires a Metering Specialist Technician to be based in Port Harcourt to ensure that maintenance operations under his/her responsibility are carried out in strict accordance with Company’s current safety rules and operating procedures and in accordance with standard industry practice, thereby guaranteeing the quality of maintenance operations, within his/her field, carried out on SITE by CONTRACTOR.
Main responsibilities:
Organises on site the maintenance operations which are placed under his responsibility, Manages for interventions a limited number of Instrument technicians (1 to 2) when required; Performs daily work activities, in accordance with his individual job/task procedures, checking that the quality of work is acceptable before the equipment is returned to service; Manages interventions using the CMMS, Enters intervention reports in the CMMS (including those concerning SMC) and writes the technical reports related to his fieldMonitors the functioning and running parameters of utilities and equipment placed under his responsibility; Takes part in daily, weekly and coordination meetings on SITE;
Ensures that the transfer of knowledge by mentoring occurs properly within his team, and actively participates in this himself; Is a member of the SITE emergency team and participate to safety drills; Ensures that all spare parts and tools are correctly stored on site; Records all spares part consumption; Reports to Methods Support any anomaly in the spares inventory available on site; Ensures proper management of workshops, offices, tools, metrology equipment, PPEs, consumables and stationeries of his team; Carries out, at Company’s request, any intervention within his field of competence; Evaluates and assesses performances of technicians within his team.
